Hi, Byrdie readers! It's your trusty trainers Karena and Katrina back for our latest column. Today, we're sharing our favorite healthy dessert that won't set you back from your fitness goals. We have a big sweet tooth, and dessert is something we could never live without. We don't want anyone to have to give up the things they love (dessert being one of them), because then it just backfires and you end up feeling shame and guilt-which aren't productive when it comes to honoring your body and living a happy and healthy life. Instead, it's just about making dessertВ an experience and putting together a healthier version of a favorite treat, so you're still nourishing your body while simultaneously indulging. Even better? The cookie in question has just three ingredients, so it doesn't involve any complicated steps or tools. Keep scrolling to see the recipe!Tone It Up
Makes 6 servings
2 medium ripe bananas
1 cup oatmeal
1 scoop Perfect Fit Protein Powder (1 packet)
Optional: Add crushed walnuts, raisins, dried cranberries, almonds, chocolate chips, or coconut flakes. If you add more protein to them, add a splash of almond milk or some melted coconut oil.
Mash your peeled bananas in a bowl with a fork, and be sure toВ mash well! Add in the packetВ of Perfect Fit protein (below)В and keep mixing. Depending on how ripe your bananas are, you may need to add a few drops of almond milk or water to make your dough the right consistency. Lastly, mix in the oats.В This is also the time you can add any other toppings you like! Use a spoon to drop the dough on your cookie sheet. Be sure to coat it with nonstick cooking sprayВ and lightly press down to flatten. This helps it bake better!
Bake at 350В°F for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown! If they are still a little mushy, just bake for a little bit longer.Tone It Up Perfect Fit Organic Plant- Based Protein Packets $30Shop
